Greater West Texas SECC

The State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) is an independent charitable giving campaign for State of Texas employees and in the Greater West Texas area is managed by United Ways of Texas. The South Plains region covers 41 counties: Andrews, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crane, Crockett, Eastland, Ector, Fisher, Glasscock, Haskell, Howard, Irion, Jones, Kimble, Martin, McCulloch, Menard, Midland, Mitchell, Nolan, Pecos, Reagan, Reeves, Runnels, Schleicher, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Sterling, Stonewall, Sutton, Taylor, Terrell, Throckmorton, Tom Green, Upton, Ward, and Winkler..

Committees of state employees govern the SECC at two levels — statewide and locally. The committees ensure the campaign is conducted fairly and equitably under a strict set of state statutes and guidelines, which give donors confidence in both the charities that benefit and the methods used to solicit.
